From snorkeling adventures in a traditional outrigger canoe to discovering lush rainforests on a thrilling ATV excursion, our rich collection of shore excursions allows you to explore French Polynesia and the South Pacific in the manner that appeals to you most—both above and below the waterline as well as on shore.
Long-standing partnerships in every island ensures your discovery is led by the most experienced and knowledgeable experts. Here we invite you to explore your options either by port of call or type of activity. Shore excursions are available to pre-book approximately 60 days prior to sailing; diving tours must be booked on board. Guests and their travel advisors can pre-book their excursions by calling our Reservations Department at 1 (800) 848-6172. We look forward to revealing Polynesia to you soon!
Please note that not all shore excursions are available on all sailings. Descriptions and pricing may vary. Shore excursions will not be available for pre-booking until approximately 60 days prior to sailing (except for the Romantic Escapades excursions). Seven days or less prior to embarkation, shore excursions can only be booked onboard. New tours, not previously listed for online sales, may be available onboard without prior notice. Waverunner and snorkeling adventure*
Taha'a, Society Islands (Motu Mahana)

Start your tour with a short introduction on how to drive your wave runner. After, your guide will take you for a ride around the northeastern side of Taha’a’s lagoon.
Stop for explanations on the way to your snorkeling stop. The wave runner has a spacious compartment where you can store your snorkeling gear. You will stop at one of the most beautiful coral gardens and have one of the most memorable snorkeling experiences during your cruise. This tour will end directly at Motu Mahana.

The minimum age to drive is 16 years and minimum 8 years to be accompanied by an adult (more than 18 years old). This tour is recommended for guests in good physical condition, pregnant guests, or guests with back and/or neck problems are discouraged to participate on this tour. Participants must respect safety instructions. We recommend wearing a swimsuit, sun protection and sunglasses, and to bring your snorkel equipment (mask, fins, snorkel) and a towel from the ship. *This tour is priced per waverunner, which can accommodate two average-sized adults, maximum weight per waverunner is 500 lbs.

Colo-i-Suva trek tour & waterfall
Suva, Viti Levu, Fiji

Located 20 minutes from the city, Colo-i-Suva is a national park that boasts a crystal-clear river set in serene and peaceful surroundings amidst a spectacular rainforest making this a perfect spot for a moderate trek followed by a cool dip in the waterfall.
The weather is much cooler than Suva City with temperatures falling to as low as ten degrees at altitudes of 120-180 meters accompanied by frequent rainfalls. The air is clean and crisp with only the calls of local bird life penetrating the atmosphere.
At the end of the hike, you will get back to Savu and join your ship.

Eco Adventure & Fijian Culture Experience

Begin your journey with a 45min bus ride to a Fijian village where guests will be accorded for a Welcome Kava ceremony before your journey in a motorised long boat ride up the Navua River to the magic waterfall for a swim. At the Village, you will have lunch & entertainment including a visit of the traditional Fijian village, where you have the privilege of immersing yourself in the rich local culture. Urata Waterfall
Savusavu, Vanua Levu, Fiji

Your day will begins with a 30- minute scenic coach ride along the shore of Savusavu Bay and Balaga Bay to the village of Urata (pronounced 'oo rartar'), where you will be met by warriors who will escort you to the village meeting house to meet the village chief. He will welcome you and grant you permission to visit the waterfall.
The village guides will take you on an easy hike through the village plantations and rainforest to the waterfall and swimming holes.
You will learn about the different types of food crops that grow in the plantations and your guides will explain the traditional uses of medicinal plants.
Afterwards, in the shade of the rainforest, you will be able to cool down in the freshwater pools.
You will then walk back to the village, where you will be welcomed by the singing and dancing of the villagers.
Finally, you will re-board your coach for the ride back to the pier.

Bali Archaeological Relics
Benoa, Bali

Traveling from Benoa harbor, enjoy a leisurely morning drive of two hours brings you directly to the village of Bedulu to visit Goa Gajah Monastery (Elephant Cave), is an ancient Hindu monastery built in the 11th century during the reign of one of famous Balinese King Udayana who ruled with his Javanese queen. This ancient monastery was used by both Buddhist and Hindu Monks as a place of retreat and meditation as well as the king as his descendants.
After touring Hindu monastery ground, then re-joining your motor coach and proceed to your delightful journey continues on to the next interesting place located nearby to visit Pejeng Museum of archaeology, locally called Museum Gedong Arca or the Museum of Archaeology, is home to a fantastic collection of sarchopagus, ancient Balinese relics and other artifacts from Indian and Chinese Kingdoms. The collection is housed in a traditional Balinese compound, with each pavilion hosting its own exhibition, completed by serene and well-manicured gardens.
Then, leaving Pejeng Museum of Archaeology behind and to the local restaurant located in Ubud where your lunch will be served. After lunch, as your tour draws to a close and before returning to the harbor of Benoa, your journey continues on to the village of Kemenuh to visit Setia Darma House of Masks & Puppets, is a place where various kinds of masks and puppets from different regions in Indonesia and around the world have been collected, stored and displayed for public since 2006. The collection includes more than 1300 masks and 5700 puppets. These masks and puppets were collected as a reference which can be used for various purposes. Located just a few miles from the heart of Ubud, the house of masks and puppets covers more than 1 hectare of land surrounded by traditional Balinese village and rice fields. The intent and purpose Setia Darma of Masks and Puppets is for preservation, education and entertainment.
After conclusion of your memorable vist, your motor coach then takes you directly to the harbor of Benoa where the ship awaits for your onward journey, commencing approximately two hours drive from Kemenuh Village.

Bali Countryside

Discover Bali's countryside through the rich cultural heritage of Bali on this immersive experience of the island's traditional beauty.
You will first be transported to Mengwi with a visit to the majestic Taman Ayun Temple, an amazing, 17th-century temple complex served as the family temple of the Mengwi Dynasti, whose kingdom survived until the late-1800s. Mengwi's main attraction, the temple is adorned with a wide moat, exquisite wooden shrines and beautiful carved gates.
Following your visit, your journey continues with a drive to the breathtaking Ayunan rice field, where you'll have the opportunity to capture the beauty of Bali's agricultural landscape.
Continue to the final stop at the small village of Baha to visit a typical Balinese House Compound. When you get to the small village, join your guide as you walk through shaded countryside's pathways until you reach the entrance gate of a stunning traditional Balinese House Compound. It is very charming concept of house building consisted of several buildings with different purpose of activities. Mostly, the Balinese people house equipped by major house building includes Bale Daja (building set in the north), Bale Dangin (building set in the east ), Bale Delod (building set in the south ) and a kitchen set in the west.
After conclusion of your visit, your motor coach will take you directly to the harbor of Benoa via the main road for a one-and-a-half-hour scenic drive.

Coffee and traditions

Starting off from the Pier of Benoa, a leisurely morning drive of one hour and 45-minutes brings you to the village of Kengetan/ Lod Tunduh to visit a Family Estate Coffee Plantations. Upon arrival, a guided walk through a shaded pathway to explore coffee plantations and other tropical spices as well as to observe up-close the Bali coffee making process. This offers a wonderful experience trip on your holiday in Bali where you can taste our local coffee, tea and Luwak coffee. The farmers are stepping into a new idea to create their coffee plantation where you may visit it with some variety of coffee for tasting. Despitefully, you'll have a good opportunity to try our local snacks and Balinese snake-skin fruits.
Re-joining your motor coach, and enjoy a short scenic drive toward the Balinese House Compound to visit a traditional Balinese House Compound, a complex with several house building separately set in one house area. The buildings are mostly designed by Balinese architectures taking daily social Balinese life concept pointing out the hospitality. It is very charming concept of house building consisted of several buildings with different purposes of activities. An Indonesian Lunch will be served en-route in a local restaurant.
As your tour draws to a close and before transferring back to the pier of Benoa, you’ll make your way to visit the Balinese Hindu temple located nearby to visit Pura Puseh or popularly called Batuan Temple, is a local Balinese Hindu temple looked after by the local residents of Batuan countryside. The temple is designed very beautiful with full of Balinese ornaments and the roof temple is made from the fibre of chromatic black palm tree. It strategically located beside of the main road from Denpasar to Ubud. For over a thousand years, Batuan has been a village of artists and craftsmen, old legends and mysterious tales. Batuan temple were founded in the year 944 Icaka (1020 A.D).
After the conclusion of your memorable visitm your vehicle then brings you back directly to Benoa pier where the ship awaits, commencing approximately one hour and half.
- This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 350 meters, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/ off the coach and steps at the sites visited. This tour is not suitable for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilize a wheelchair. We suggest wearing light and comfortable clothing with sturdy, flat, and closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection, insect repellent, rain gear, and a hat. Infrastructure in Benoa Pier is basic, and local conditions may be challenging. Vehicles, Tour Guides, Hotels, Restaurants, equipment, and services are the best available in the area but may not be up to the standards of those found on other excursions.

Magical Temples
Benoa, Bali

Depart the pier for the drive to Tanah Lot, Bali's most photographed temple.
The black lava towers of this sacred, 16th-century temple stand on a rocky outcrop 656 feet (200 metres) offshore. Although crossing to the temple is only possible during low tide, you can photograph it from the opposite shore.
Following your visit, your journey continues with a drive toward the Southwest Coast, arriving at Puri Taman Sari, where you will be greeted by Bleganjur, a group of Balinese that will offer you a guided tour of the area where you will see different traditional Balinese activities before proceeding to your lunch area.
Leaving Puri Taman Sari, a 30 minutes drive brings you to the Royal Temple of Mengwi, Taman Ayun Temple, once the center of the kingdom. Your scenic journey through Bali concludes with a 1 hour 30 minutes return drive to the pier in Benoa.

Introduction to Balinese Cuisine

Visit a well-established cooking school for a hands-on experience led by the school Chef. Using only fresh ingredients sourced locally the cooking lesson is a simple, easy to learn and fun experience.
Learn the techniques and become familiar with the fresh herbs, spices, and other ingredients that make Balinese food delightfully tasty as well as nutritious and cleansing. Explore different ways to blend and balance the varied flavors to create a stimulating array of unique tastes. Try your hand at the Balinese mortar and pestle, blend spices, and discover how to create the delicate balance of curry of bumbu.
After your lesson, enjoy the fruits of your labor, accompanied by local beer or soft drinks. After the completion of the demonstration and lunch return to the pier via a scenic drive.

Komodo Trekking Tour
Komodo Island, Indonesia

Enjoy a short trek on Komodo Island. Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that make up the Republic of Indonesia. The highlight of this trip is seeing the Komodo Dragons. These relatives of the dinosaurs are the biggest reptiles on earth, reaching lengths of over 10 feet (3 meters) and weights of over 275 lbs. (125kg).
The earliest stories of a dragon existing in the region circulated widely and attracted considerable attention. No one visited the island to check the story until official interest was sparked in the early 1910's by stories from Dutch sailors based in Flores about a mysterious creature allegedly described as a "dragon" that spat fire. In 1915, the Dutch government placed the dragon on the list of protected species. More recently, Komodo was named to the controversial list of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in November 2011.
From the pier you will walk to the Tamarind Woods ranger's station. There you will have a short briefing. Then, keep an eye open for these dappled giants as you approach Banuggulung, a former Komodo feeding ground, in the company of an expert guide who will provide further insight into the life of these unique and fascinating creatures.
At the end of your trek, you will be returned to the rangers' station, where you will have time to browse for souvenirs from local villagers before being transferred back to the ship.
