Géraldine Danon

Today, her career path appears to be an obvious one, to which her taste for adventure has allowed her to add the salt she found by travelling the oceans. She made her acting debut at the age of fourteen under the direction of Jean-Pierre Mocky in A mort l'arbitre. The filming followed, and she played opposite some of the greatest actors: Jeanne Moreau, Michel Serrault, Gene Hackman, Alain Delon...

She then sailed with her husband Philippe Poupon from the Arctic to the Antarctic, on their sailboat Fleur australe with their children, travelling perilous and often unexplored routes. A writer and director, she has drawn from their maritime adventures seven books and fifteen documentaries broadcast on the Voyage, France Ô and TF1 channels, with more than four million viewers. The public is as fascinated by the extreme experiences of this family crew around the world as it is by the awareness of the richness of our planet and the need to protect it.
Today, after having rounded Cape Horn three times, battled with ice floes and pirates, she is back in the film industry with her first feature film, FLO, about another adventurer, the sailor Florence Arthaud.
